Our Initiatives
Reading Group
We facilitate seminar-style discussions on critical and emerging texts related to the Anthropocene. We also maintain a reading list of relevant and exciting Anthropocene-themed texts in music studies.
Pedagogy Group
We facilitate regular discussions about teaching music, climate change, and the Anthropocene at the undergraduate and graduate level. We also are developing a database of relevant syllabi and teaching materials, free and acessible via our website.
Works-in-Progress Group
We facilitate a works-in-progress writing group, where participants share and discuss each other’s writing projects in a supportive and rigorous setting. We are also developing co-written publications.

Conferences and Events
We held our first conference, Ruptures and Convergences, May 21-22, 2022, at UC Berkeley. We intend to hold yearly gatherings, either virtual or in person, to further our network’s goals.
